Five Things to Avoid before a Performance

1) DUTCH COURAGE
Alcohol before the performance will most likely lead to over-confidence.... Stick to the fizzy water and avoid falling on your face!
2) LAST MINUTE CHANGES
Now is not the time to remember that amazing song you heard this morning and just have to sing... stick to the programme ( you'll avoid falling on your face...)
3) CHOCOLATE
It's true! Chocolate before the performance won't do you any good.... or cheese butties for that matter - dairy causes all sorts of interesting mucus related issues and should be avoided, (along with falling on your face...)
4) TARDINESS
Turning up late will make you anxious and tense, which won't help one little bit. Turn up early, ( this will also help stop running, tripping, and falling on your face!)
5) EXCESSIVE THROAT CLEARING
This can be a bit of a nervous tick, try and avoid the tempting "huh huuummmm" every few seconds and stick to sipping water, (this should also help keep you off the vodka and stop you falling on your face...!)
